FixSpike is for general education only. That includes the calculator, the blog, and the AI features. It is not medical advice. Using this Site does not make you a patient of ours, and it does not create any doctor-patient relationship.
This Site cannot replace your doctor
Everyone’s body handles fiber, protein, fat, and timing a little differently. Even two people eating the exact same meal can have different blood sugar responses. The numbers on this Site are a good starting point based on research. They are not a personal medical plan.
Please talk to a doctor, registered dietitian, or pharmacist before you change your diet or start a new supplement. This is especially important if you:
- Have diabetes, prediabetes, or another metabolic condition
- Take metformin, insulin, or any other medicine that lowers blood sugar
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a gut condition, trouble swallowing, or a history of bowel blockages
- Are thinking about trying fenugreek, since it can make diabetes medicine work more strongly than usual
How to take fiber safely
Start with a small dose. This helps you see how your body handles it, and lowers your risk of gas or bloating. Always take fiber supplements with a full glass of water. This matters most for strong, concentrated fibers like glucomannan (konjac) and guar gum. In rare cases, taking these dry or with too little water has caused choking or a blockage.
About the AI features
The meal parser, translation, and chat answers are generated by AI. AI can make mistakes. It can also give outdated or incomplete answers. Treat anything the AI tells you as a rough estimate to double-check, not a confirmed fact.
If you are having a medical emergency
If you think you are having a medical emergency, including signs of very low or very high blood sugar, call your local emergency number or a medical professional right away. Do not use this Site during an emergency.
