About FixSpike
Last updated: July 12, 2026
FixSpike exists to answer one practical question well: before you eat a carb-heavy meal, what can you actually do, right now, with things you can buy at any pharmacy or grocery store, to keep your blood sugar from spiking as hard?
Why we built this
Most advice on managing blood sugar is either too vague (“eat more fiber”) or too clinical to act on in the moment. We wanted a tool that turns the actual research on viscous fiber, meal sequencing, and post-meal movement into a specific, personal plan: how many grams of psyllium, chia, guar gum, or fenugreek to take, how much protein and fat to pair with your meal, and exactly when to do each step.
Our approach
Every recommendation on this site is built from published nutrition research, not guesswork, and where the evidence is mixed (like with inulin), we say so plainly instead of overselling it. The calculator’s core math is deterministic and free to use forever. We also offer optional AI features (meal parsing, translation, and a short Q&A) to make the tool more useful in the moment, not to replace the underlying research.
Who this is for
FixSpike is built for anyone managing prediabetes, insulin resistance, or general blood-sugar awareness, and for the people around the world who already reach for psyllium or isabgol before a meal and want a clearer sense of how much, and when.
